Q. How do you provide GIA certified diamonds so cheap, they are the most expensive ones in the UK ?
A. To provide diamonds at cheaper rates we had an option to sell HRD / EGL certified diamonds, the best part was that we could have a local supply of diamonds for HRD and EGL certified diamonds and could get an order delivered to our customer the very next day. But, long ago we decided we will trust and deal only in GIA certification of diamonds, which restrains us from maintaining a local stock due to it being expensive within the UK. Hence, we manufacture our diamonds overseas and we have almost 120,000 different specifications of diamonds available at all times, including range of carats, clarities, colours, and cuts.
Q. I like a diamond on your website very much, can I come to look at it before I buy ?
A. Unfortunately, currently its not possible for us to show you the diamond before you purchase it. Most of our diamonds come from overseas which is the reason we can provide GIA certified diamonds at a wholesale price. When you place an order, it takes us 2 days to process it overseas going through the whole stock of 120,000 diamonds to digg out your preferred loose diamond. Further its quite normal for delivery to take upto 3-7 days when you buy from wholesalers.
Q. Why do you provide only GIA certified Diamonds and not other certifications ?
A. Firstly, we can easily create a Diamond Certification and sell DNS certified diamonds but you would still think how genuine it is, you won't be sure about authenticity. GIA is essentially a non-profit organization, so they don't issue biased certificates. Also diamonds sent to them are examined by various different expert graders to determine the exact specifications and quality. GIA certificate allows us at Diamonds and Solitaire to provide our clients with a certified, secured, and reliable shopping experience.
Q. Which ones better Gold Diamond Ring or Platinum Diamond ring ?
A. A Platinum setting will usually go well for a diamond, although it might be a little expensive. However if you are planning to get a very clean and a good diamond then platinum will surely make it stand out. But if you have a Gold setting, the gold can make the diamond look a bit yellowish than it really is, and it won't be good. If your diamond falls in between colour Grades D-G and clarity IF - VVS2, then you should certainly stick with platinum, but in the end the choice will be yours.
Q. How long will it take to receive my Diamond items after I have made the payment ?
A. Please allow 3-7 days to receive an item after we have shipped it.
Q. What is the main source of all your diamonds ?
A. All the rough diamonds we purchase are from legitimate sources, not at all involved in any way in funding conflicts and are in compliance with United Nations resolutions. We Guarantee that our diamonds are conflict free, based on personal information / knowledge and/or written supplied guarantees provided to us at the time of purchase.
Q. What is your Returns Policy ?
A. We offer a 7 day money back Guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with your item simply call us to obtain an return merchandise authorization (RMA) number, and we will take you through the process of sending your item back to us and receive your money back. Please do not send your item back without obtaining a RMA number. Unfortunately you will be liable for additional shipping charges(if any).
Q. Do you sell any Conflict Diamonds ?
A. Conflict diamonds are also known as "Blood Diamonds" which are used to fund illegal operations of military, rebel, or terrorist's movements. Diamonds and Solitaire understands the great harm to local African Populations that might be caused by conflict diamonds. For this reason, we have a policy to comply with Kimberley Process and not not deal in conflict diamonds knowingly. Kimberley process is a UN mandated international certificate program aimed to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds. The KPCS outlines some provisions through which the trade of rough diamonds is to occur. Hence, our policy of buying diamonds is clear. We buy from suppliers that clearly state / warrant that their diamonds are not blood diamonds and are from sources free from conflict. In every regards we are committed to the highest quality and ethical standards on behalf of our consumer market.
